Five or more years of experience in a contracts administration role with experience in Capital or Business Unit Projects
Post-secondary education in business or supply chain management preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and with SAP
Proficiency with Supply Chain Projects Procedures and Work Practices
Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Professional level of knowledge related to SCM Practices and processes, including the contract lifecycle, from RFP through to Close-out.
Demonstrated expertise in contract management, contract and procurement law
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, as well as a collaborative approach when working with both internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
Support development of project specific SCM execution plans including formulation of sourcing strategies, commercial strategies, procurement plan and contracting plan through the various ADEM stages of the Project
Build relationships with the project execution team, identifying project priorities to provide effective SCM support for successful project execution.
Coordinate the negotiation, execution and administration of complex high value contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and Suncor standards while mitigating risks and maximizing value opportunity for the organization
Coordinate the development of Scopes of Work, facilitating issuance of clear, functional Contracts, Sub-agreements or Change Orders. Be conversant with the OEMS Element 10 process for Projects ensuring appropriate communication/escalation of any irregularities affecting project execution
Plan, organize and lead progress meetings for assigned contracts and scopes. Lead with confidence and clarity, ensuring objectives are met, and action items are captured.
Liaise with and facilitate discussions amongst various project stakeholder/ integrated team members for effective performance of SCM activities
Liaise with other Suncor functional groups e.g., Category Management, Commercial, Legal, EH&S, Finance, etc., for appropriate expertise/support and to ensure best practice and alignment.
Ensure appropriate contractors’ pre-qualification, create, implement and administer supply, contracts and service agreements to completion and close out
Implement and maintain tracking systems and ensure signing authorities are adhered to for commitments
Location and other Key Details:
Candidates from both Calgary and Fort McMurray will be considered for this position.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
