Summary: As a Quality Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall quality and performance of software applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that testing processes are efficient and effective. You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, automating testing processes, and identifying areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle. Your role will also include monitoring and reporting on defects, ensuring that the final product meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software quality. - Automate testing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects in a timely manner. - Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards. - Continuously monitor and report on testing progress and defect status. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Apache Kafka. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. - Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes. - Additional Good To Have Skills: Experience with performance testing tools.
