This position directly speaks to the mission of 'educating those who serve.' The role is critical for the management and operational support of the Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology Residency Core Program in the Diagnostics Institute, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PLM). The Program Manager provides necessary administrative support for the operations of the GME-based, ACGME-accredited residency core program and the associated PLM staff, its leadership and faculty. 


A caregiver in this position works Days, from 8:00am—5:00pm. 


A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Develop, implement, manage, and maintain operational systems and activities. 

  • Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside community. 

  • Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines. 

  • Allocate time to meet completion requirements. 

  • Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. 

  • Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 

  • OR High School diploma/GED and six years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement. 

  • OR Associate’s degree and four years of experience may substitute the Bachelor's degree requirement. 

  • Two years of experience in project management, data analysis and systems training. 

  • OR Master’s degree and one year of experience may substitute for one year of experience. 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Good working knowledge of Graduate Medical Education operations, expectation, and accreditation standards/guidelines. 

  • Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research, and business plan development. 

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
