What will you be doing?
The Maintenance Support Technician will play a pivotal role in the delivery of maintenance activities across our sludge treatment centres. Your primary responsibility will involve supporting and providing technical assistance to Bioresources Operations Managers in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance. Ensuring processes and assets are safe to operate and reliable to achieve performance and regulatory compliance targets.
This role is crucial to our mission of protecting the environment we serve through wastewater treatment and producing renewable energy and high-quality bioresource products, which support Circular Economy, Sustainability, and Net Zero goals. We seek an individual who thrives in collaboration and possesses exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with various teams.
Key duties:
Providing mechanical and electrical technical support to the Bioresources Operations Managers and their teams to help ensure effective delivery of Planned and Reactive Work on a day-to-day basis.
Review maintenance plans for STCs to ensure they are fit for purpose and deployed effectively against the asset base.
Ensure Planned maintenance work is scheduled and subsequently carried out within level of service, with a high focus on priority work such as safety critical or regulatory assets.
Support in delivery of a condition-based monitoring programme across designated asset base on STCs Highlighting areas of enhanced maintenance
Look at optimisation of assets to improve efficiency, energy, carbon, and asset reliability
What does it take to be a Maintenance Support Technician in Bioresources?
Possess a NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent in a relevant maintenance discipline is essential
Knowledge of Water Recycling and Bioresources processes and associated Health and Safety requirements knowledge is essential
Proven practical experience of fault finding and improvement of mechanical and electrical assets through Planned Preventative Maintenance and strong Root Cause Analysis skills
Experience using various IT programmes including SAP, IRIS, as well as knowledge of business process systems such as Oracle
Flexible approach to work as the sites operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Ability to work autonomously
Advocate of collaboration
Forward thinking and pro-active individual
Full UK driving license
