The Diabetes business is becoming an independent, publicly traded company, with a clear focus on innovation, operational excellence, and growth in diabetes care. As the Record to Report (RtR) Lead, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing the RtR function in a shared services model, supporting our international business activities. This is an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead the implementation of SAP S/4HANA accounting processes, as we prepare for our next phase of growth.

This role is based in Heerlen, Netherlands, with flexibility for hybrid or remote work. You will report to global finance leadership and collaborate closely with regional and international teams, IT, and other finance functions. Occasional travel may be required to support business needs and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Establish and lead the RtR organization within a shared services model to support the international business of the Diabetes Operating Unit
  • Define and implement the structure, roles, and workflows for the RtR team to ensure readiness for Day 1 (timing of Initial Public Offering (IPO))
  • Manage centralized RtR activities such as accruals, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets
  • Lead the design and implementation of new financial processes to enable RtR activities, ensuring alignment with the international business model
  • Act as the RtR functional lead for SAP S/4HANA accounting processes implementation, overseeing configuration, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Support the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies
  • Drive process standardization and optimization across international markets while accommodating regional compliance requirements.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in RtR, financial reporting, or related roles, ideally within a multinational organization
  • Proven experience building and managing shared services functions for international operations
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Centerpiece and SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong understanding of (US) GAAP
  • Excellent leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience managing culturally diverse teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives is a plus. Familiarity with the accounting of divestures, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and accounting flows, will help you excel in this role, but are not required.

If you’re passionate about driving process excellence and ready to make a difference in a dynamic, international environment, we encourage you to apply!
