Key performance area
As a Business Process & Quality Specialist at Sandvik AB, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our operational efficiency and ensuring the highest quality standards across our processes. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and monitoring business processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and overall business performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Process Analysis & Design: Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Design and document optimized processes, workflows, and procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures. Monitor process adherence and performance against established quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and support continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to foster a culture of quality and efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including process maps, work instructions, and quality manuals. Generate regular reports on process performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, IT, and product development, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and ensure successful process implementation and adoption.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all processes and quality systems comply with relevant internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to employees on new or updated processes and quality procedures to ensure smooth transitions and effective execution.
Job Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business process analysis, quality management, or continuous improvement roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Process Methodologies: Proven experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable), or similar.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab), and general office productivity suites.
- Quality Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is highly advantageous.
- Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
