In this role, you have the opportunity to
join Philips, based in Stockholm, as our Communications & Brand Manager for the Nordics region. You will elevate our brand presence and drive impactful internal and external communication strategies primarily within our health systems business. You’ll shape and execute integrated campaigns that strengthen our reputation, boost visibility, and support organizational goals.
You’ll lead on planning, delivery, and performance tracking—using insights to continually refine our approach and ensure our messaging lands with the right audiences. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll partner with teams across the business to provide expert guidance on communications and brand best practice.
This role offers the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, introduce new methods, and influence how we communicate at a strategic level. You’ll work with a high degree of autonomy, applying advanced communications principles to complex projects and making sound, independent decisions.
You’ll also build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, preparing clear and compelling updates for senior leaders while steering initiatives that align with our long‑term ambitions.
You are responsible for
Participates in the execution of communication and brand campaigns and other activities, tracking progress and analyzing results, to achieve desired goals and enhance organizational visibility and reputation.
Establishes operational objectives and work plans, guiding teams to achieve strategic communication and brand goals effectively while maintaining high standards of quality.
Introduces new methods and procedures in communications and brand management, driving innovation and ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
Determines the feasibility of concepts or projects, leveraging experience to assess risks and opportunities in communication and brand strategies while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Assists in creating compelling content across various formats, such as articles, social media posts, and videos, to effectively engage target audiences and reinforce key brand messages.
Executes proactive employee communications and engagement initiatives, fostering a well-informed and motivated workforce through various internal communication channels.
Monitors and analyzes media, social, and digital environments, as well as industry trends, to provide insights for maintaining relevance and effectiveness of communication and brand strategies.
Prepares regular reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing communications activities, campaign performance, and areas for improvement to keep everyone informed and aligned.
Works under limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance to drive project success and compliance.
Handles day to day and high-stakes media relations and influencer engagement initiatives (with the support of global colleagues), building and maintaining strong relationships with top-tier media outlets and key influencers to enhance brand reputation.
Cultivates effective relationships with internal and external partners, providing influence over projects and peer groups by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the area of specialization.
You are a part of
a small but close knit Marketing Team, reporting into the Marketing Leader for the Nordics region who in turn are part of a wider European team.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Extensive relevant media external communications experience either B2B or from an agency invironment in a large matrixed organisation
Strong experience communicating to and influencing multiple, diverse stakeholder groups, with proven track record in media relations beyond product PR
Agency management experience
Lifescience / B2B / healthcare industry experience would be beneficial
Relevant degree background
Strong ability to creatively problem solve and in crisis management
Fluent in English and one of the Scandanavian languages
