Position Summary
As the Associate Creative Director for Yahoo Mail and AOL, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative vision and executing marketing strategies that elevate these beloved brands across diverse platforms. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Studio, you'll collaborate closely with the Yahoo Mail and AOL teams at every phase of project development—from initial strategy and brief creation to the execution of integrated campaigns. Whether it’s a new product feature, service, or content initiative, you’ll delve into the details to confidently guide the creative direction, ensuring brand standards, alignment with strategic objectives, and fostering growth and engagement across both platforms. As a player-coach, you’ll lead by example, inspiring your team and stepping in to support them wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership: Guide the creative team to develop innovative, high-impact campaigns for Yahoo Mail and AOL, reflecting their unique identities and connecting with the target audience.
Campaign Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute campaigns across a variety of channels including digital display, social media, email marketing and more.
Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of creative excellence, ensuring all deliverables meet brand guidelines and effectively engage our consumers.
Agency Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, manage project kick-offs, and take responsibility for their success, ensuring all work exceeds expectations.
Creative Brief Development: Work with marketers to craft and refine creative briefs that are clear, aligned with business objectives, and set the stage for successful campaigns.
Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and shifts in the digital space to ensure our creative work remains innovative and fresh.
Creative Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality control of all creative outputs, ensuring they meet or exceed Yahoo’s brand guidelines and standards, while driving audience engagement and achieving measurable results.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a creative leadership role, ideally within the consumer tech or digital communications sector.
A strong portfolio showcasing successful creative campaigns across multiple channels and formats, with an emphasis on consumer-facing products or services.
Understanding of full-funnel marketing strategies and the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with a broad audience.
Passion for consumer technology, email, and digital communication trends, with the ability to create relevant and engaging content.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing external agency partners to drive creative initiatives.
Exceptional project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Deep knowledge of design principles, branding, and visual storytelling.
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.).
Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate creative concepts clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
Analytical mindset, using insights to inform and guide effective creative decisions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Skilled at building deep partnerships across the business and contributing to strategic planning efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
