Position Summary

Seller Account Manager is responsible in the overall management of seller accounts with the objectives to grow the GMV and maintain the Trust and safe performance!

 

Responsibilities

  • Support seller account performance and growth by driving a promotion + training, and work with related partners to address them.
  • Keep updated on related product, policy and marketing / campaign information or changes and provide prompt education and discuss and manage the information.
  • Educate sellers for any trust related violations or poor trust related performance, and work with sellers on performance turnaround when applicable.
  • Do account research such as performing data analysis to identify and highlight how business is trending, potential growth opportunities and risk, engage with sellers to understand their business objectives and build business plan to help sellers grow the business.
  • Work with sellers to establish business KPI and drive execution of business plan. This may include working with internal and external stakeholders to provide related support.
  • Prepare and lead seller visits and webinars independently.
  • Prepare sales and trust tracking reports as required for performance tracking and review.
  • Deliver business result by working with the whole team, engaging in standard process sharing etc.
  • Manage a portfolio of sellers by using business analytics expertise to proactively identify and realize opportunities to increase revenue and performance. Support the development of these seller's-ongoes growth and success
  • Solid experience in program management, at least leading one project which high value to team
  • Exhibits a broad base knowledge of multiple or related industries as well as an acute business understanding such as market and online trends, competitor analysis and customer needs with strong analytical mind, demonstrating as inputs to business plan for sellers
  • Coordinates internal/external resources in response to customer needs.
  • Ability to advise and empower others such as provide coaching or mentorship to new-hires or low performance with proved positive result
  • Demonstrated ability to drive for results and strong negotiation skill such as push sellers achieve a high YoY GMV growth
  • Scale up power seller activities by providing constructive business consultation and key business issue
  • Support seller business growth through timely policy/platform changes update, selling strategy consultant, and key account issues solving
  • Work collaboratively with external and internal resources, including trust & safety team, product management team, marketing team, and business development teams to meet the business targets
  • Participate cross-function project management, Work closely with cross functional teams for business development and best practice sharing
  • Lead or organize seller big event or workshop independently, ability to leverage internal & external resource to support the event successfully.

 

Position Qualifications

  • Been in Seller Account Management for at least 2 years, keep good performance record at least 2 years within team, no ethics/disciplinary issue.
  • Native Japanese
  • Business level in English
  • Quantitative skills (including database analysis)
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skill
  • Energetic, self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work under pressure
  • Solves problems effectively and proactively propose a solution.
  • Selling skill & industry knowledge
  • Strong learning & self-improving ability
  • Excellent skills in MS office incl. PPT, Excel & word

 

Please note the following when applying for eBay Japan's positions:

  • We implement hybrid work: It is mandatory for employees to work 3 days/week on-site. WFH is up to 2 days/week. Full remote work option is not available.
  • We implement staggered time where employees can vary their start and end times between 7:00 – 10:00 AM and 4:00 - 7:00 PM respectively.
