We are seeking a talented individual to join our Real Estate team at Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The role: Real Estate Claims Executive
Property owners, operators, managers, and developers need to stay competitive in the dynamic world of real estate. Marsh's risk management solutions are an ideal support system for companies with bold vision.
The Claims Executive team provides specialised insurance claims services to clients and prospects of Marsh. The team is looking to grow and develop the current suite of services.
The Real Estate team focuses on driving value for a multitude of large and corporate clients - tailoring bespoke solutions based on the different needs of European, UK and Residential investors.
We will rely on you to:
Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of Marsh Specialty Real Estate clients, setting tailored claims service strategies to meet their unique needs.
Provide high-quality claims analysis and regular updates to clients on progress, challenges, and opportunities to enhance their claims journey and reduce costs.
Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to improve the client’s claims experience, including audits, training, and claims preparation.
Collaborate closely with the wider Marsh service team, ensuring clients’ claims experiences are optimized for renewal negotiations.
Maintain compliance with operational processes while demonstrating a commitment to continuous personal development.
Interact with our Top Tier Real Estate clients in relation to their claims arising under their property related insurance portfolio in conjunction with claims colleagues in our client service teams
Identify appropriate policy coverage on complex issues and analysis of notifications against the same in order to best assist clients in managing risk exposure
Provide of claims strategy advice, driving the claims process for clients, with supervision where required, including client claim review meetings, liaison with the insurance market and participation in active claim strategy discussion in order to manage the claims process from notification to closure
Interact with insurers and their professional advisors on complex claims queries and policy coverage discussions in order to ensure smooth review of claims for clients
Assess data, such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other information in order to support recommendations to manage and minimise the client’s total cost of risk
Provide feedback to Claims Management and close interaction with Client Executive, Claims Advocacy and Claims Advisor colleagues including coaching and mentoring other team members where required
Liaise with the Operations team regarding claims processing and client feedback, escalation of issues where appropriate and overseeing designated key risk areas to facilitate smooth functioning of the claims process;
What you need to have:
Experience in complex Property and Property Owners’ Liability claims from a loss adjusting, broker or insurer background
Previous client facing experience including the leading of client meetings.
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients at all levels.
Strong knowledge of the UK commercial insurance market and processes.
Outstanding organizational skills for effective diary management and reporting.
A desire to progress your career and work in complex claims management and advocacy in a client facing role as part of a servicing team
Strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Negotiation and persuasive engagement skills
