Commerce, Data & Identity
● Commerce, Data & Identity provides the core product management functions for areas crucial to Disney’s media businesses. These include initiatives and products that power digital commerce, identity, and growth, as well as those that reach uniquely across The Walt Disney Company enterprise, such as messaging and privacy, among others. Additionally, it is responsible for the data engineering, science, and products for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, along with their interconnection with other parts of The Walt Disney Company.
Job Summary:
● Define product vision and strategy for the reporting enablement platform, ensuring alignment with organizational data and analytics goals.
● Own the roadmap for reporting frameworks, semantic layers, dashboards, and self‑serve analytics capabilities.
● Drive cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, data science, BI teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑impact reporting solutions.
● Establish governance standards for metrics, data quality, access control, and reporting consistency across the enterprise.
● Lead platform modernization initiatives—migration to modern BI tools, scalable data models, and cloud‑native reporting architectures.
● Champion self‑service analytics by enabling reusable components, templates, semantic models, and documentation.
● Define KPIs and success metrics for reporting adoption, performance, and business impact.
● Partner with leadership to identify reporting gaps, prioritize investments, and influence long‑term data strategy.
● Ensure compliance and security across reporting tools, data access, and user permissions.
Basic Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical field
● 5–10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in data, analytics, or BI platforms
● Strong proficiency in SQL and comfort with hands‑on data exploration
● Deep understanding of: Data modeling, & Semantic layers.
● Demonstrated ability to influence engineering, data science, BI, and business teams. Experience working with global stakeholders and managing competing priorities. Excellent communication and storytelling skills for executive‑level alignment Preferred Qualifications
● Familiarity with Experience with: Looker, Tableau, or Power BI. Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Datadog, Conviva. Looker and Databricks experience preferred.
