Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Software Configuration Analyst (SCM) in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position can be filled at our Dulles, VA office.
Position Overview:
The Software Configuration Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Tracking and controlling changes to the software system
- Executing within a team environment to plan and implement a CM system applicable to customer requirements.
- Implementing and executing existing CM Plans or author customized plans related to unique customer CM requirements.
- Collaborating with development in CM tool utilization, version control system trunk, branch, and tagging strategies with a goal for efficient change tracking, version control, merges, and tagging of releases.
- Creating and maintaining a CM process, best practice, and policy documents to ensure CM rigor and improve efficiency.
This requisition can either be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst.
Basic Qualifications:
- Principal Configuration Analyst: 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 4 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD; or 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
- Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst: 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 8 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD; or 14 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
- TS with SCI eligibility at time of application, and willing to sit for a polygraph.
- Familiar with versioning control software such as Git, Git Hub
- Have a basic understanding of semantic versioning scheme for software
- Understanding of automated Software deployment practices
- Must be able to explain the steps involved in a Software Configuration Process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in Agile and Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc)
- Security Plus Certificate
Salary Range: $88,700.00 - $133,100.00Salary Range 2: $109,900.00 - $164,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
