Position Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Facilities - Logistics

Reports To: Assistant Facilities Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Specialist  is responsible for monitoring  and maintaining the inventory to ensure inventory level meets the required par level.  Scope of duty Include  purchasing, allocation and forecasting patient care supplies and equipment.  They review and analyze data to determine accuracy of inventory on hand, and make recommendations to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.    


Starting Wage: $16.26/hour. The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Certification/Licensure:

  • Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license

 

Education:

  • High school graduate or vocational training

Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of purchasing, supply chain or logistics procedures

  • Knowledge of inventory control, ordering and distribution services

  • Proficient  on computers (google suite)

  • Proficient in data entry into software systems. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Experience:

  • Have 2 years experience working in  purchasing, supply chain or logistics environment

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor adjustments and variance reporting for patient care supplies and equipment.

  • Analyze data, use statistical analysis to assess best product sales.

  • Assist with restock of supplies and equipment

  • Monitor and ensure inventory meets the needs of patient care.  

  • Ensure equipment is current with preventative maintenance inspections. 

  • Monitor supply to ensure timeliness of delivery.

  • Generate work orders for equipment that need repairs.

  • Develop, implement and track inventory control procedures.

  • Monitors omnicell discrepancy transactions.   

  • Clean and disinfect patient equipment

  • Monitor and replenishment of oxygen

  • Provide recommendations for process improvement of inventory

  • Follows and adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and guidelines, code of conduct, and REHAB employee handbook. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
