How You’ll Make an Impact:

The Team Manger will Manage and lead a team of highly skilled developers in delivering complex development projects.  They will plan, coordinate and participate in the development activities across the full delivery lifecycle. This will include working closely with the department’s Project Managers, business analysts, QA personnel and developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders as required.

As a highly technical and hands‐on capable developer, ensure the structured and coordinated

planning of the team’s development. Having a technical background and experience will ensure the

support and guidance required being able to support and assist developers with their tasks.

  • Coach and mentor the team by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Oversee the day‐to‐day application support of Fidelity Canada’s Corporate Systems ‐ ConX and Crystal Reports.
  • Ensure timely resolution to reported issues with Corporate System issues.
  • Collaborate with AXIS, Nexus, Unix and OPS teams to resolve support issues.
  • Oversee the development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of the ConX and Crystal Reports applications, adhering to Fidelity standards
  • Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders to achieve successful delivery of high‐quality application products.
  • Work with Project Managers to translate development deliverables into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks.
  • Project timelines are adhered to, proactive communication for risk mitigation and task completion.
  • Write, review and take responsibility for clear, concise and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Documentation is updated and maintained in proper repository for development initiatives.

What We Are Looking For:

  • University degree or equivalent working experience
  • Minimum 5 years of working in a team environment with a clear demonstration of leadership abilities.
  • Experience in workflow management systems and Crystal Reports
  • Experience working in the Financial Industry

  • Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle
