Job Description:

A DAY IN THE LIFE of our PRODUCTION ADMIN

You have a keen understanding of the wide range of responsibilities of Production Administration, including collaborating with local Production and Plant Managers on improvement projects, maintaining production records, ensuring food safety compliance, and fostering a culture of people safety. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, exhibit outstanding organizational skills, and be committed to upholding our company's values.

Production & Quality

You are the records guru/administrator, responsible to Maintain production records, including manufacturing, packaging, and waste records.

  • Audit various records such as load-out sequences and pellet mill records.
  • Review, research, and reconcile inventory. Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Perform cv + residues tests in line with the food safety program.
  • Maintain the local pest control program.

HSE (People Safety):

  • Assist in providing safety training for staff and contractors AND ensure timely completion of annual staff safety training.
  • Maintain relevant safety documentation to meet Provincial & Federal Safety regulations.
  • Prepare and hold monthly General Safety meetings.
  • Regularly maintain PPE and First Aid supplies.

Food Safety

  • Assist in preparations for all internal and external audits.
  • Maintain documentation to meet Provincial & Federal Food Safety regulations.
  • Complete annual Food Safety staff training before due dates.

Other Tasks

  • Support continuous improvement plans and change initiatives.
  • Assist with various lab tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily targets.
  • Maintain awareness of procedures and documents, reporting any issues.

Preferred Hiring Criteria

  • Grade 12+ education. Relevant experience in a feed manufacturing environment (an asset).
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines effectively. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications. Numerical accuracy and mathematical aptitude.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
