As part of the multifamily Rental sales team, we work with property owners and operators across the US to connect rental shoppers with their next home, driving innovation and growth within Zillow’s broader mission.

About the role

As a Sales Manager for Mid-Market Rentals, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Zillow’s Rentals marketplace. You’ll lead a high-performing sales team, driving strategy, productivity, and client partnerships across the Central region. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to deliver the best client experience in the industry, foster a collaborative culture, and accelerate Zillow’s growth in the rental space.

You Will Get To

  • Lead, develop, and coach a territory-based sales team, driving strategy, performance, and professional growth.

  • Empower your team with local market insights and innovative sales strategies to expand market share.

  • Implement and refine sales processes to ensure consistent, high-quality output and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and improve key metrics such as revenue, sales velocity, and closing ratios.

  • Standardize processes and operational cadence to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Foster client retention and loyalty through thoughtful, data-driven coaching and relationship management.

  • Champion a positive, growth-oriented team culture focused on employee satisfaction and continual improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to deliver seamless client experiences.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $93,600.00 - $149,400.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation and equity awards. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience, including goal setting, accountability metrics, and pipeline management.

  • Proven ability to coach, upskill, and build talent pipelines in a growth and retention-focused environment.

  • Experience leading hybrid teams, balancing virtual and in-person engagement across multiple regions.

  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence decision makers at all levels, internally and externally.

  • Proficient in CRM software, preferably Salesforce.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with industry decision makers and teams.
