The Opportunity
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team and support the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. You will collaborate closely with other accountants and the Finance Manager to achieve timely and accurate financial closes, covering areas such as cash and accrual accounting, investment accounting, reinsurance reconciliation, tax accounting, and related reconciliations.
In this role, you will define and operate processes and controls for each finance function within Resolution Life’s risk appetite, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers a permanent full-time contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You’ll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
Your Story

Responsible for timely and accurate financial close
Responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate account reconciliations across multiple data source and multiple accounting basis
Daily bank reconciliations
Reinsurance bordereaux reporting
Additional daily/month end finance tasks upon request
Qualification and Skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or audit, preferably in a financial service (Life Insurance) and complex organisation
Strong knowledge of the financial reporting cycle, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal control best practices for the Australia and New Zealand business
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and financial modelling tools.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
