JR52229 GLOBAL PLANNING MODELLING MANAGER

As a Global Planning Modeling Manager, you will be leading a team of modelers that serve as a central contact for the manufacturing network, calculating and communicating capital impact of process changes to senior leaders in Manufacturing and R&D . You will be responsible for connecting many parts of the business in order to drive the execution of manufacturing and cost saving processes, including supply change, finance, engineering, procurement, production and planning. Innovation is highly valued at Micron, and you will have the opportunity to develop new tools to expedite, optimize and refine the planning and reporting processed used across the network. The ability to understand and effectively communicate the capital and operational impacts of manufacturing changes is essential. Attention to detail and ability to work in where information is ambiguous will be extremely valuable

Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

  • Manage network tool utilizations strategies and benchmark performance to optimize the company’s deployed capital
  • Manage and communicate improvement and implementation plan to all relevant levels and functions in Manufacturing
  • Optimize capacity of install equipment and lead sites and tool level optimization studies for throughput enhancement
  • Collaborate with partners to understand future tool and process roadmaps. Able to assess network capacity impacts of process changes
  • Improve financial analyses before capital equipment are purchased through automating metrics optimizations, process flexibility, capacity sharing and equipment repurpose
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in situations where changes is fluid
  • Ability to spot, question and highlight differences to drive resolutions with relevant stakeholders

Communication

  • Clearly articulates complex ideas and critical changes to fab, site, and corporate leadership
  • Presents and explains issues and improvements to audiences at all levels in the site organization
  • Communicates data findings and recommends solutions to diverse audiences
  • Summarizes critical changes to Global Operations and TD senior leadership
  • Uses data visualization technique to clearly communicate complex ideas and plans to stakeholders so data can translate into decisions
  • Establishes trusting relationships across local and global partner groups and drives improvement solutions that meet the needs of the customers
  • Continuously improve and develop reporting and forecasting (data science) capabilities to drive efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate across Global TD and DRAM sites to improve business processes around planning and budget forecasts
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with DRAM Sites, TD and Global Functions
  • Actively seeks partnerships with peers in other departments
  • Collaborates with partners to identify and leverage BKMs
  • Partners with team members to facilitate Business Plan connection to Capital Cycles calendars
  • Investigate issues, analyze data, gather information, and produce summary reports to help senior leadership make key decisions
  • Assist in the development of new business processes, systems, or procedures as needed
  • Establish and maintain documentation for existing and/or new business processes as needed
  • Seek customer feedback on process efficacy and improvement suggestions with current systems
  • Create an environment where team members feel comfortable communicating barriers and concerns

People and Performance Management

  • Conducts performance management and professional development of direct reports through clear expectations and accountability
  • Ensures succession plans are in place for all key positions
  • Develops challenging performance targets and monitors line of sight goals to both direct and indirect reports
  • Knows Micron policies and partners closely with HRBP
  • Delivers results by encouraging teamwork and setting priorities
  • Mentors others in developing desired skills and achievable results

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a Business-related or quantitative field (Finance, Economics or similar discipline). MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
  • Experience turning complex and ambiguous problem statements into structured solution while working in a highly multi-functional environment
  • Experience operating independently while maintaining a high degree of organization, control and change management
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and reporting results cross diverse technical and non-technical groups
  • Experience working in teams, establishing and maintaining multi-functional relationships
  • Experience in a combination of capacity analysis, business analysis  or process analysis is advantageous
  • Proven ability to drive multiple complex projects to completion at the same time
  • Proven ability to communicate and present technical information effectively
  • Proven ability to make sound, data-driven decisions
  • Proven ability to accurately analyze and interpret data
  • Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure
  • Proven ability to identify, understand, and mitigate risk before making critical decisions
