Summary:

NB Trust Company’s Institutional business focuses on Collective Investment Funds (CITs) and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) mandates.  Our clients include corporate and public pension funds, endowments and foundations.  The Analyst/Associate supports the business in many ways, including client service, investment implementations, account management and client administration. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be a quick learner.  

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in investment client service process through creation of performance review and market update documents
  • Act as key contributor to CIT business including onboarding new clients, process trades, liaise with portfolio management teams, assist in the management of updating of investment guidelines and other relevant documentation, complete client audit and regulatory requests and other projects as assigned
  • Support client service efforts including processing funds movements, administration of alternative assets such as private equity, opening/closing accounts, responding to client inquiries, and supporting senior team members with many ad hoc projects as they arise
  • Act as business owner of benefit payment service delivery through managing processing on vendor platform
  • Gain proficiency in all systems which support the CIT and OCIO businesses and aide in the accurate setup and maintenance of client, fund and account related data across the platform
  • Coordinate and manage monthly client investment and administrative review process (Institutional Administrative and Investment Compliance Committee) and act as business owner of process
  • Active involvement in asset allocation and portfolio rebalance process through assisting Institutional Fiduciary Officers and investment strategists by placing trades and oversight of control process
  • Provide backup for staff on NBTC’s Institutional Trust team.  As candidate gains experience, role can include client contact and responsibilities
  • Maintain and update legal documents for various funds and clients

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years professional experience preferred (knowledge/experience in a financial services firm is a plus but not required).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to perform in fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated; eager to learn the business and contribute to team and organization goals
  • Ability to take charge and ownership of projects and processes
  • Strong writing skills, excellent phone manner and client service focus
  • Keen attention to detail and an understanding of its application in the bigger picture
  • Ability to exercise discretion when managing confidential information

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $60,000-$85,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
