Position Description:
Designs client-facing software application components using HTML5, Angular Framework, JavaScript, CSS, and JSON. Supports server-side software application components to further service transformation, routing, and enrichment orchestration using Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat. Implements microservices architecture using web service and integration tools -- Spring WS, Rest Patterns, OAuth, Swagger, and Apache Camel. Crafts and improves upon RESTful Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using coding tools such as Java 8 and the Spring/Spring Boot framework. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and implementing Web applications in a financial services environment, using Java, Spring, Angular and REST.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and implementing Web applications in a financial services environment, using Java, Spring, Angular and REST.
