Provide business advisory support services to a number of Branded Marketers (BM) across South Africa.
Assist BM’s with customer relationship management, marketing, pricing strategies, brand building, business planning, maximising sales, driving turnover and profitability. Steward compliance with BM contract and all Astron Energy expectations in the relationship.

Financial Perspective

  • Drive Sales (Retail and Commercial) and earnings targets, Image Stewardship, Operational performance/excellence,  Maintenance/Investments and contractual obligations
  • Contract management, Opex budget and company report reviews and survey submission
  • Participate in and communicate out business plan targets and expectations
  • Resolve and manage all credit related issues and KPIs related to retail partner
  • Forecast demand and engage with internal organisations regarding supply and product availability

Customer Perspective

  • Contract and Relationship Management – Branded Marketers
  • Drive accountability and performance externally
  • Develop and role out strategic plans that encompass both Retail and Commercial opportunities
  • Track and benchmark competitive activity to enhance decision making
  • Maintain accurate commercial, contractual, operational and engagement records

Business Excellence

  • Ensure compliance to relevant Astron Energy  processes as well as government regulations such as SHEQ, licensing and local ordinances
  • Drive accountability and performance internally
  • Conduct performance, audit and planning reviews

People Management

  • Understand and assist with in-house training with partners as and when required

Professional Qualification and Certifications:

•           Tertiary Education – Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business Management,

Supply Chain,  Sales and              Marketing)

Work Experience:

•           5 – 10 years relationship management experience in Sales and Marketing

•           3 – 5 years  experience in Key Account Management

•           Understanding of the retail detail, retail service station supply and value

chain complexities

•           Excellent customer communication and interaction skills

•           Strong financial and business acumen

Knowledge and skills:

•           Strong influencer and ability to drive collaboration

•           Proactive, Self Motivated

•           Ability to develop and engage on strategic initiatives

•           Demonstrated strong teamwork behaviors and skills

•           Ability to perform market and commercial analysis of economics

•           Ability to engage professionally at c-suite level

•           Good contract management skills
