The Fund Accounting Corporate Actions team is responsible for the sourcing, analyzing, validating, and accurately processing corporate action events using Citi systems and a variety of independent external data vendors such as Bloomberg and Telekurs.
 
The team’s responsibilities include preparing and delivering the funds' asset valuation (Net Asset Value) to Citi's institutional clients. To achieve this, the team collaborates with other Citi teams across various geographic locations to ensure a standardized service is provided to the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor within the Asset Servicing Department, proactively identifying, reporting, and resolving potential risks and control challenges, and escalating residual risks as necessary

  • Oversee departmental projects and ensure regular reporting of accurate MIS

  • Report processing errors and potential risks to management promptly

  • Address areas of risk, implement additional controls where needed, and initiate improvements to standard processes

  • Attend and represent Citi in client oversight and internal business discussions

  • Verify transactions in the accounting system and prepare detailed reports and summaries

  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all corporate action events

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in Fund Accounting with experience in handling corporate actions

  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience

  • In-depth knowledge of securities processing, combined with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices

  • Communicates with tact and diplomacy in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information

  • Ability to work independently

  • Has some latitude to resolve complex issues related to the analysis of fund activities

  • Excellent knowledge of English

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Economy, Finance, Accounting or a related field with a professional certifications is an additional asset
