Customer SupportKey Roles and Responsibilities:
Formulate and implement processes, procedures, and systems for tracking and analyzing hardware and equipment from requisition through retirement.
Maintain familiarity with organizational hardware support standards, and work with IT technical staff, management, and end users to ensure hardware products are procured and used in accordance with those guidelines.
Assist end users and IT technical staff with acquisition of hardware assets, from planning through deployment.
Establish and maintain business relationships with key product or vendor contacts.
Verify, enter, and adjust IT asset management data in a variety of forms, schedules, and reports.
Account for the hardware assets throughout the enterprise utilizing various tools to manage all assets within the organization.
Develop written plans, policies, and procedures to document processes to support the hardware asset management lifecycle.
Develop process and procedures to ensure accuracy of inventory audits.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, systems administration, or other related technical field. A combination of education and relevant work experience may be substitute for a degree on a year for year basis.
Work Experience:
At least three (3) years of progressive work experience in information technology and strong customer service orientation.
Experience successfully managing multiple high priority efforts or competing priorities, and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
This position requires incumbent to be able to move equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. a distance of up to 50 feet, with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
Experience supporting and troubleshooting personal computer systems running Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Demonstrated familiarity with the latest developments in personal computer hardware technology.
Familiarity with SQL and ServiceNow
Experience using a content management system to present and edit basic web-based text and graphics.
Experience developing business cases and negotiating with vendors.
Experience evaluating, recommending and implementing infrastructure solutions.
Experience in scoping, planning and managing complex and concurrent technical activities; demonstrated ability to manage scope, timeline, and budget.
Experience with business requirement gathering and analysis.
Related work experience in a higher education or academic health care organization.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
