Integration Engineer (3–6 Years)
Role Summary
A highly hands-on Integration Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and delivering integration solutions as part of complex enterprise programs. Strong focus on coding, API implementation, and CI/CD-driven delivery, with increasing ownership of components and active contribution to low-level design.
Key Responsibilities
Core Development (Primary Focus)
Design and develop end-to-end integration components using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Data Factory, Service Bus, Event Grid).
Build robust, scalable, and production-grade solutions, handling real-world complexity in enterprise integrations.
Implement reusable frameworks, components, and integration patterns to accelerate delivery.
API Development & APIM Implementation
Develop and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM), including:
Advanced policy implementation (transformation, security, routing)
Versioning and lifecycle support
Ensure secure, performant, and well-governed API implementations.
Low-Level Design & Technical Ownership
Actively create and own Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for assigned modules.
Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Ensure design adherence to architecture standards and best practices.
Azure DevOps & CI/CD (Core Delivery Expectation)
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.
Drive automated build, deployment, and release processes across environments.
Ensure consistent, reliable, and high-quality deployments in fast-paced delivery cycles.
Testing, Debugging & Production Support
Perform comprehensive unit and integration testing of developed components.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Dev, Test, and Production environments.
Handle complex debugging scenarios across APIs, messaging, and workflows.
Monitoring, Reliability & Performance
Implement advanced logging, monitoring, and tracing using Azure Monitor / Application Insights.
Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
AI & Copilot-Enabled Development
Actively leverage GitHub Copilot / M365 Copilot for:
Accelerated code development and refactoring
LLD documentation and API specifications
Debugging and root cause analysis
Apply AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and delivery velocity.
Collaboration in Complex Delivery Environments
Work closely with Senior Developers, Leads, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams on large-scale delivery programs.
Participate actively in agile delivery cycles, owning committed work items end-to-end.
Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
Experience: 3–6 years with strong emphasis on hands-on integration development.
Azure Integration: Deep practical experience with Azure Integration Services (AIS).
API Development: Strong experience with REST APIs and Azure API Management (APIM).
Programming: Solid coding expertise in C#, .NET, JSON, XML.
Integration Patterns: Good understanding of event-driven, messaging, and API-based integrations.
Azure CI/CD: Proven experience building and working with Azure DevOps / Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
Debugging & Performance: Ability to handle complex issue resolution and optimization.
AI & Copilot Skills:
Active usage of GitHub Copilot / M365 Copilot in day-to-day development
Understanding of AI-assisted coding workflows
Preferred Skills
Exposure to MuleSoft or hybrid integration platforms.
Basic knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes fundamentals).
Familiarity with security, governance, and enterprise integration standards.
