Job Title: Infra managed services Specialist Role Overview: As an Infra managed services Specialist, you will be an integral part of our technical support team, responsible for delivering high-quality services to our clients. You will act as the ongoing interface between clients and their systems or applications, ensuring their smooth operation. You will also be responsible for the operational support, maintenance, and optimization of Linux-based and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: o Lead small to medium-scale design projects, interfacing with project managers and clients. o Design services according to company standards and vendor best practices. o Provide expertise on system performance tuning, capacity planning, and maintenance patching. o Plan, implement, and assess small to medium-scale changes on production systems. o Conduct technical feasibility analyses for major activities and disaster recovery tests. o Provide day-to-day operational support for Linux-based hosts and services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving platform performance. o Install, configure, patch, and maintain Linux Infrastructure o Lead operational activities, including team management, work stream leadership, and escalation point responsibilities. o Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure systems, including OCI/Azure/AWS environments. o Deploy, automate, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud production systems. o Provide L2 and L3 support on cloud infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and security. o Work with vendors to meet service level obligations. o Monitor vendors' release notes, plan necessary upgrades and patches, and implement best practices. o Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by making proactive suggestions for service improvements. o Mentor less experienced staff in best practices for production support. • Must-Have Skills: o 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux/Unix system administrator. o Experience with multiple Unix/Linux flavors, including RHEL, Oracle Linux, and CentOS. o Proficiency in identifying and troubleshooting hardware and OS issues. o Experience with performance analysis, server builds, decommissioning, and user account management. o Hands-on experience with Bash scripting and automation tools like Ansible. o Good understanding of OCI/Azure/AWS cloud infrastructures, and virtualization platforms like VMware. • Good-to-Have Skills: o Basic Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Azure Cloud, and other cloud environments. o Experience in the implementation, and support of cloud infrastructure systems. o Familiarity with cloud storage, networking, and security protocols. • Professional Attributes: o Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. o Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on vendor best practices. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or a related field. • Preferred certifications in Cloud technologies and Linux/Unix system administration. Additional Information: • The role may require on-call rotations and the ability to respond to critical incidents outside regular business hours.
