Works under the supervision of the Quality Leadership. Conducts concurrent and retrospective review of medical records and provides data for analysis to quality committees to meet various quality initiatives and support the organization-wide performance improvement plan. Collaborates closely with product line team and physicians in order to maintain compliance with our registries, accreditation and regulatory standards.

Pay Range:  $55,931.20 - $87,256/annually

Employment Type:  Hybrid, Full Time, 80 hours every 2 weeks

Requirements:   Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program required, Current Michigan RN License required

Medical Record Review and Data Management

  • Completes data integrity and accuracy checks and provides innovative approaches to improving compliance of standards (e.g., Registries, Core Measures, and Internal Indicators).
  • Efficiently and effectively uses software programs for the purpose of data entry, data maintenance, and data retrieval. This includes but not limited to; Microsoft Excel, registry software programs, and EHR based reports.
  • Conducts data collection that is timely, accurate, and complete.

Data Analysis

  • Facilitates the transformation of data into relevant information, while maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Demonstrates understanding of implications of results; uses and interprets control charts and other reports when appropriate; draws conclusions from results; has insight into variables affecting results.

Data Presentation

  • Generates appropriate and meaningful graphs & tables.
  • Orally presents reports to various teams and committees via PowerPoint or written reports.

Facilitation of the QI Process

  • Assists committees and teams in identifying and using benchmark data, including current best practice standards. Provides education of quality and data management related topics to staff, leadership, and medical staff.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and uses principles of Quality Improvement for assisting various teams and committees to: Create indicators; set performance goals; determine measurement methodology.
  • Provides Quality Improvement education to individuals, teams, and committees.
  • Demonstrates team leadership and problem-solving skills in the context of Quality Improvement activities.
