As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist Staff, you will represent Williams in dealings with federal and state agencies. In this role, you may supervise the preparation of cost of service studies, cost allocation/rate design studies, tariff filings, certificate filings and FERC reports. You will also perform sophisticated technical tasks and lead teams in projects of major scope or unusual complexity. It is vital to have experience in major compliance efforts that have had positive impact on earnings!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Leads development, implementation and ensures continued efficiency of standards, specifications and training related to operations
  • Interprets regulations and coordinates with management to assure overall compliance success
  • Acts as subject matter specialist for PHMSA/DOT/MMS regulatory issues
  • Trains, mentors, advises, participates in and/or makes technical presentations to management
  • Works with applicable agencies (PHMSA, Coast Guard, MMS, foreign regulators) in the classification and certification of operating assets
  • Identifies additional needs for facility design, start-up, operation, maintenance and integrity
  • Audits company facilities and performs due diligence investigations for acquisitions/divestitures
  • Handles projects or programs with moderate resource requirements; risk and/or complexity; monitors and controls costs and resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience with minimum four (4) years’ compliance-related experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree and experience in the EHS functional areas, such as environmental, process safety or DOT

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
