Job Description

As part of the GPMO (Global Procurement & Manufacturing Operations) group, is responsible for collaborating with product team, development team, strategic sourcing (T1 &T2), and TSG (Technical Service Group) globally to source and manage the procurement of service & accessory materials and to support NPD/Introduction plans.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • RFQ for service parts according to TSG requirement to support new products & sustaining production. 
  • RFQ for accessories associated with new products.  
  • Complete source selection in compliance with GPMO strategy on T1 & T2.
  • Drive to the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) on all parts by negotiating unit price, minimum order quantity, lead-time, delivery flexibility, etc.
  • Review cost BOM and drive cost to target; identify opportunities for part alternatives that offer cost reduction or minimize risk.  
  • Participate in product development team meetings. Influence engineering; leverage common components/suppliers across programs.
  • Material availability. Monitor/drive material status to meet program NPI needs.   
  • Capacity analysis. Monitor/drive CM capacity, ramp plan that meets drop needs.  
  • Commercial representative for T1 & T2 in program team. Communicate and align effectively inside GPMO and communicate out. 
  • Drive continuous improvement with CMs to improve operation efficiency and transparency.
  • Collaborate with Operations team to ensure component qualification and ramp attained on target.
  • Create and maintain SAP setup.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with suppliers and coworkers; promote Bose values, objectivity and fairness supported by effective written and verbal communications.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years in contracts / subcontracts within the CM procurement environment.
  • Experience with managing parts/accessories.
  • Commodity basic knowledge including domestic and international sourcing.
  • Experience with Supplier management through NPI and mass production.
  • Experience of Manufacturing Global Supply Chain function working with global teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communications in English.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with and manage Subcontractors.  
  • Experience in Consumer Electronics Audio. Service/accessories experience is plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets, and program performance.  
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships based on mutual respect with peer customers and team members.  
  • Strong communication skills globally and team player. 
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using SAP.  

Required Education:

  • BS/BA in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or any major related to the job description
