The Director - OEM program is responsible for the overall leadership, oversight and management of Sym-Tech’s relationship with a major Canadian Automotive OEM client, this role will be the key relationship owner with the OEM client, and be responsible for strategy execution and the achievement of all business objectives including exceptional dealer and customer service.Essential Responsibilities:
• An integral member of the project team that will ensure a flawless implementation of the OEM program.
• Post launch, oversees business, competitive, functional and operational KPIs and ensures the program is meeting and exceeding all objectives.
• Pro-actively anticipates and then quickly and effectively resolves any program issues.
• Generates pro-active strategies and recommendations to “stay ahead of the competitive curve.
• Identifies opportunities for growth with OEM, such as sales channel expansion, technology integration, new and improved products, increased product penetration, incentive programs and training enhancements.
• Takes the lead on developing annual business plans with OEM client.
• Partners with OEM on strategies regarding vehicle and sales channel trends, including digital strategy, product and service growth opportunities.
• Organizes and prepares insightful reports/presentations for review with OEM client and/or dealers.
• Represents Sym-Tech at a senior level with OEM client, dealers and external partners.
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate Degree
• 7 years of national automotive account management experience, or comparable experience with an Automotive OEM, Automotive Captive, Automotive protection program (F&I) provider or Automotive Financial Services provider.
Knowledge / Competencies:
• Understanding of OEM culture, processes and OEM/dealer relationships
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills in a collaborative environment
• Effective presentation skills - capable of communicating effortlessly with senior management, internal team members, external vendors, industry and dealer audiences
• Demonstrated project management skills - working with many stakeholders in developing, launching and managing multiple projects at the same time
• Inherent sense of urgency
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient computer skills - MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• English fluency / French a definite asset
