Define, shape, and support trusted analytical data products built on the Target State x Data Platform. Partner with Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and domain stakeholders to translate business requirements into well‑defined data semantics, metrics, and consumption‑ready datasets that support analytics, reporting, and downstream use cases across Core Reference, IBOR, Datahub, Stamford Data Warehouse and many other data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders and domain SMEs to define data product requirements, business semantics, and analytical use cases
  • Translate business concepts into clear data definitions, metrics, and KPIs for analytical consumption
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to design and validate curated analytical datasets and semantic / serving models
  • Define data product contracts including schemas, documentation, SLAs, data freshness, and usage expectations
  • Validate analytical datasets for correctness, completeness, and usability prior to consumption
  • Define and support data quality rules, reconciliation checks, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Data Engineering
  • Ensure consistent metric definitions and business logic across BI tools and downstream consumers
  • Maintain data product documentation and support user onboarding and adoption
  • Support impact analysis and communication for schema, metric, or semantic changes
  • Partner with Platform Engineering to ensure data products align with catalog, governance, and access standards

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in data analysis, analytics, or data product roles working closely with data engineering teams
  • Advanced SQL skills and solid understanding of analytical query patterns
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional and curated analytical models
  • Hands‑on experience working with Snowflake and/or Databricks for analytics
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into precise data definitions and specifications
  • Strong communication skills across technical and business audiences
  • Familiarity with data catalogs or metadata systems (Unity Catalog, Polaris, Horizon) is a plus
  • Familiarity with lakehouse concepts and open data formats such as Apache Iceberg is preferred
  • Financial or enterprise data platform background preferred but not required
