We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Acute Care team. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based treatments to help patients improve strength, range of motion, endurance, coordination, and overall functional mobility. Because many patients are experiencing pain, this position requires sensitivity, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships through hands-on patient care.
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating orthopedic and sports-related patients, as well as providing care for other physical therapy patients as needed. New graduates are welcome to apply, with preference given to candidates who have prior experience working with athletes.
A caregiver in this position works part time| 9:30am – 6:00pm Thursday’s (subject to change on the day), 1 half day 2:00pm – 6:00pm and the day can very, 3 Sunday’s a month is needed for this role. 4-6 hours dependent on case load| holiday rotations.
A caregiver who excels in this role, will:
Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver include:
Experience in a clinical area
Dry needling background
1-2 years of inpatient and Acute Care experience
