The Director, Commissions Transformation and Systems is a key leader in the strategic vision and execution of our commission’s payment process. This role is responsible for overseeing the transformation and system production teams and works closely with our Commissions Operations team, ensuring alignment with business goals, improving the experience for sales professionals, and helping drive business growth.

About the Role
In this opportunity as Director, Commissions Transformation and Systems, you will:

  • Manage and develop the transformation and system production teams.
  • Define and communicate the commissions system strategy and roadmap, aligning with stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Commercial Excellence, HR and Operations to streamline the commissions end to end process.
  • Guide integrations and process improvements, focusing on simplification and efficiency.
  • Ensure successful execution of our year over year / go to market compensation payments and reporting configurations.
  • Liaising with technology leads to preempt issues and optimize the sales team's experience.
  • Directly contribute to the commission's system data handling to ensure accurate compensation.
  • Engage with the commercial systems program to safeguard commission data integrity during system changes.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate with key partners to define requirements for commission-related initiatives.
  • Participate in design decisions affecting commission data within enterprise systems (order-to-cash, S4/Hana).
  • Champion data harmonization efforts, aiming to reduce complexity.
  • Provide consultative support regarding system changes that affect commission processes.
  • Oversee change management activities to ensure smooth transitions and user acceptance.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Director, Commissions Transformation and Systems if your background includes:

  • 10+ years overall in finance and/or sales operations experience. 5+ years of transformation and leadership experience.
  • Advanced experience in sales compensation plans and systems.
  • Experience in system implementations
  • Keen interest and experience in Automation and AI
  • Understanding of order processing systems, order data sources and commercial systems.
  • Experience of business requirements gathering assessment and documentation.
  • Strong leadership qualities including effective executive presence / verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills to balance project delivery with expectations of stakeholders.
