Job Description:

We’re looking for an Associate Technical Specialist to join our Global Operations Command Center (GOCC) team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to complete activities associated with providing the 24/7/365 operations required to maintain Manulife’s infrastructure and IT services by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing events and incidents and completing service requests and BAU tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1st Level support for issues related to infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components.
  • You should be able to manage end-user desktop environments, including delivering applications and configuring user settings. You should use the Azure portal, templates, scripting, and command-line tools to manage an Azure Virtual Desktop deployment.
  • Assist Platform/DevOps/Application teams covering 24/7 monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
  • Uses from catalogue of scripts and solutions to solve known issues regarding configuring, provisioning, and maintaining software/platform.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years’ experience in supporting applications in production environments running on Linux and Windows. Relevant experience in Incident, Change and Problem Management.
  • Work Arrangement: As part of a 24/7/365 operation, this is an Office based shift role.
  • Shift Schedule: Shift patterns are based on 11-hour shifts alternating between morning and night shifts monthly. Shift patterns may change or revert to 8-hour shifts as management and business needs change.
  • Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:
    • Microsoft AZ-140 Certification (Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop) is a plus.
    • Knowledge in DevSecOps tools e.g., BitBucket, Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira.
    • Knowledge in Observability and AIOps tools e.g., New Relic and Moogsoft.
    • Relevant experience in Service Management Tools e.g., ServiceNow and xMatters.
    • Relevant experience from working in DevOps organizations.
