Position Summary: The Senior Manager of AI Engineering Operations will be responsible for managing the AI Hub Operations team.  Your role will be to manage a team that ensures our applications and infrastructure seamlessly operate 24/7 and that all components and processes meet corporate and security compliance requirements.  This role will involve working closely with other teams within the company, including our development, security, and compliance teams. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve operations, including the use of DevSecOps practices.  This leader will also be responsible for monitoring cloud costs and recommending consolidation / cost containment strategies.

Job Summary: As the Senior Manager of AI Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing 24/7 production support of AI Hub applications
  • Lead root cause analysis for all incidents
  • Establish and maintain standards for operational excellence including production support runbooks, communication matrices, cross-functional support plans, etc
  • Ensure all applications in production meet corporate and security policy requirements
  • Partnering across multiple disparate teams including cloud engineering, security, DevOps, QA, and business to ensure our applications run seamlessly

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing a team of production support specialists
  • Proven experience in managing a blended on/off-shore team
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices
  • Experience leading a team of L1/L2/L3 production support specialists and establishing a growth path from L1 to L3
  • Experience developing RBAC models that that maximize a production support specialist’s ability to maintain an application in production while ensuring compliance to minimum viable access right policies per corporate policy
  • Experience driving root cause analysis
  • Experience creating and implementing remediation plans
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting full-stack applications incorporating cognitive services / generative AI
  • Experience in health care / retail environment with large transactional volumes
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Certification in AI or machine learning.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $213,210.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
