Northrop Grumman Aeronautics System Sector is seeking a Manager Industrial Engineering 1 to support our Industrial Engineering Operations Management (IEOM) organization. The leader will join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals on-site in Saint Augustine, FL.

The Manager of Industrial Engineering 1 will have the responsibility of working side by side with a team of individuals performing Industrial engineering and operations management tasks. The Manager will have the responsibility of working side by side with Operations Leadership including Directors/VPs by developing people, process and tools to help achieve all business targets, which will include the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Support/lead IEOM Sector initiatives by working with directors and managers throughout the sector.  Some of the major initiatives include Sector staffing, machine utilization, fabrication, facility utilization, IEOM Boot Camp, Voice of the Customer.
  • Coordinate Sector initiatives with sector leaders.
  • Support Remote sites VP with strategic initiatives, meetings, and offsite by working with directors within the sector.
  • Provide technical and leadership support to the Industrial Engineering and operations management team.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and tactical actions that deliver results to improve Sector performance. Ensure sector IEOM milestones and performance goals are achieved.
  • Guide executive level decision-making on how to effectively increase utilization if IEOM tools across the sector.
  • Deliver on short-term, high visibility sector requests, while creating a vision and executing a long-term strategy to influence change within IEOM.
  • Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs).
  • Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents.
  • Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Administer to employees; including performance reviews, merit increases, promotions, skills inventory and personal resources.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years' experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience OR a Master's Degree with 3 years' experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience
  • 1 years of proven experience leading teams OR projects.
  • Experience/certifications in lean/process improvement.
  • Experience Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and ability to obtain Special Program access within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field.
  • Industrial Engineering experience / Industrial Engineering Degree.
  • 2 years of shop floor operations support experience.
  • Experience with Performance metrics of high-rate assembly line.
  • Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and processes utilizing analytic model.
  • Experience working with executives across the sector to implement strategic initiates.
  • Develop off site agendas for IEOM home room and Remote Sites VP organization
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $90,300.00 - $135,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
