Millwright – Tiverton

 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mechanical Maintenance, the skilled Industrial Mechanic Millwright will have experience with industrial and construction equipment maintenance. If you have sound judgment, great time management skills mixed with the ability to work as part of an ever-growing team we want to hear from you.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in an industrial production setting.

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine work procedures.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment.

  • Adhere to all applicable safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience

  • Candidate must hold an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade certification, or a Construction Millwright Trade certification, or an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.

  • Previous experience with automated production equipment maintenance.

  • Knowledge of PLC components and programing is an asset.

  • Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals and equipment schematics.

  • Must have experience with troubleshooting technical issues on high-speed production line environments.

  • Experience using a CMMS system to track and document daily tasks is an asset.

  • Must have demonstrated experience with installing and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyze, diagnose and repair complex production systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must hold a valid drivers license.

  • The position requires a candidate to work in different settings that may include climbing ladders, kneeling, standing, and crouching for long periods of time.

  • Ability to lift 50lbs is an asset.

  • ·Candidate must be able to work 5/8s or overtime hours as production needs dictate.

  • Computer skills would be an asset

  • HVAC experience, i.e.; Changing filters, Belts, and Greasing motors would be preferred
