Job Description

The Business Banking Go To Market Senior Product Manager is responsible for development and execution of delivery strategies and user adoption within business banking sales channels. Defines go to market strategies and leads channel execution to drive efficient and effective market share growth. Manages strategic coordination across enabling functions, including Marketing, UX/CX, TOS, Risk, Product and Sales to ensure consistent and competitive delivery in serving the needs of small business customers.

BUSINESS BANKING STRATEGY, VISION, AND PLANNING

  • Drives product P&L profitability and performance through holistic delivery of small business go to market initiatives across sales channel.
  • Aligns sales channel strategy with overall segment strategic vision by working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive delivery against key growth and retention KPIs.
  • Pulls from market and competitive insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities to inform go to market strategy, including target customer segments, channels, offer strategy and value propositions.
  • Owns and manages go to market roadmap and OKRs aligning to business banking product roadmap and growth goals.  

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH, INSIGHT AND EXECUTION

  • Utilizes customer/user needs, competitive landscape, business objectives, the bank's strategic advantage and macroeconomic environment to develop and enhance go to market strategies.
  • Synthesizes user research around product-market fit and translates it into value propositions and sales channel messages.
  • Identifies and/or commissions internal/external research to continually refine and optimize go to market strategy.
  • Demonstrates understanding of product through internal/external research (e.g., personas, customer journey maps, segmentation).

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT AND OPTIMIZATION

  • Develops, analyses, monitors, and reports on go to market performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Influences and drives alignment across functions, channels, and lines of business to set go to market strategy, manage performance, and optimize execution.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Consults in product development by delivering customer and market insights and research that inform market competitiveness, customer need and profitability.
  • Influences customer experience to drive market-competitive offering and value proposition development.
  • Actively engage cross-functional stakeholders to enable speed to market and maximize return on spend in decision making for the product roadmap (e.g., MVP definition, ongoing prioritization).

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Seven or more years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of banking industry and competitor products / services
  • Proven success in building trust-based relationships and driving positive influence with peers and key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Detail oriented, with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead teams in a cross functional, matrixed environment

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
