Administers and manages daily activities of the accounting function at the facility by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as determined:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and purchasing in compliance with State and Federal law, and ASM Global policies and procedures.

  • Performs all Accounts Receivable functions including purchasing, receiving, general ledger, and other accounting functions.  

  • Supervise Petty Cash for all departments.

  • Complete F&B Analysis for events.

  • Oversee procedures and operation of F&B inventory.

  • Process and record deposits.

  • Prepares & inputs general, subsidiary, and operating ledger entries monthly.  

  • Verifies and checks the accuracy of general ledger coding.

  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.

  • Monitor and review financial transactions.

  • Prepares Journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts.

  • Assists with preparation of financial statements for the Client and ASM Global Corporate, and other financial reports.

  • Directs and participates in cost analyses.

  • Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.

  • Reviews and/or prepares event invoices and settlement documents for events, as necessary.

  • Prepares and performs bank reconciliations monthly.

  • Report deposits and payables to County via Excel spreadsheets.

  • Assist with other duties related to venue management as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has limited supervisory abilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.

  • At least 1 to 5 years’ experience in public accounting, inventory accounting.

  • SAGE, DeFacto, D365, The Hub, INFOR experience desired.

ESSENTIAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS INCLUDING ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of general, cost and inventory accounting

  • Excellent math skills; high aptitude for figures

  • Excellent communication, people skills and organizational ability.

  • The ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing software.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient In Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and as a team member.

  • Irregular hours and minimal land and/or air travel may be required.
