About Team:
The Sponsored Search Data team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, databases and ETL processes for Walmart's Sponsored Search Advertising platform. Additionally, we collaborate with other teams within Walmart to ensure data quality, availability and reliability for analytics and reporting for advertisers using the self-serve platform
What you'll do:
Identifies possible options to address the business problems through analytics, big data analytics, and automation.
Supports the development of business cases and recommendations. Owns delivery of project activity and tasks assigned.
Analyzes source system data to determine data relationships, design constructs, consistency, and quality. Integrates data into existing physical data models.
Defines the relational tables, primary and foreign keys, and stored procedures to create a data model structure.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs.
Provide data solutions that are accurate, reliable, and easy to access to end users
Maintain the data quality and data integrity of the data in partnership with data engineers and platform leads.
Provides an accurate level of effort estimates and delivery plans for projects and initiatives. Owns and support projects end-to-end.
Proactively communicates status, issues, and risks to management.
Collaborates and partner with teams across organization to understand their needs in analytics and create dashboards and reporting to support business functions.
Develops processes, and best practices, executes projects, & Ensures business needs are being met. Troubleshoots business and production issues.
Willingness and ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly .
What you'll bring:
BS/MS in computer science or any engineering discipline, statistics, Information systems.
5+ years of hands-on experience working with large, complex, and diverse datasets in enterprise scale data warehousing, and/or data engineering environments.
5 years of experience in designing, implementing ETL/ELT pipelines to deliver data with quality. Required experience with Python or similar technologies.
Experience with modeling tools such as ERWIN, Visio,
5+ years of experience working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, Hadoop, Google Big Query, DataPlex, Amazon Redshift, Hive etc.
Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau and/or Looker is required.
Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Digdag is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins and Maven
Experience working with JIRA, confluence, GIT and workflow management tools.
Experience working with cloud-based technologies and Big data framework.
Strong understanding of meta data management, data lineage and data quality using tools like Collibra.
Someone with advertising knowledge is preferred.
Exposure to analytical trends, machine learning and data science preferred.
Experience with building analytical solutions applicable to Sales, Finance, Product, and Marketing business units.
Experience implementing operational best practices such as monitoring, alerting, validation and exception handling.
Ability to synthesize information into actionable insights and contribution to creating, executing and documenting business, technical processes.
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
