Provides non-clinical support within the Human Performance Optimization (HPO) Program to enhance resilience, stress management, readiness, and overall performance for service members and their families. Focuses on voluntary, confidential engagements that address personal and operational stressors without delivering medical or clinical care. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops on resilience and life balance, offering practical strategies for well-being and performance optimization, and connecting individuals to additional support resources when needed. Provides leadership with non-identifiable insights on overall trends to support awareness, readiness, and mission effectiveness.
  • Provide Non-Clinical Coaching: Provides one-on-one, voluntary support focused on resilience, stress management, readiness, and performance optimization. (40%)

  • Facilitate Workshops and Training: Plans and conducts group sessions on resilience, life balance, stress management, and performance optimization for Service Members and their families. (30%)

  • Promote Resources and Referrals: Guides individuals to appropriate military support services and resources when needs exceed the non-clinical scope of support. (10%)

  • Report Trends to Leadership: Provides aggregate, non-identifiable observations and trends to inform leadership on overall well-being, resilience, readiness, and performance. (10%)

  • Maintain Confidentiality and Safety: Ensures interactions remain confidential and elevates concerns only when there is a risk of harm or reporting is required by policy. (10%)

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Master of Social Work from an accredited institution.         

Maintains a current, active, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. 

2+ years of post-licensure social work experience supporting resilience, stress management, and well-being initiatives for individuals, families, or communities. 

2+ years of experience implementing evidence-based practices and interventions to support performance optimization, resilience training, stress management, and coaching.  

Experience supporting human performance optimization programs with military and/or high-performance populations.

Strong interpersonal, coaching, and group facilitation skills to effectively engage individuals and lead workshops. 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.              

Willingness to travel.

Proficiently utilizes computers, software, and technology to document work performed, utilization, and other information requirements.
