The Respiratory Therapy department at Akron General Medical Center has been assisting patients with their world-class health care for years. At multiple locations, we perform respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients in multiple settings like critical care, obstetrics, emergency department, and behavioral health.
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Your primary duties will include:
Planning, establishing, and evaluating patients for correct type of treatment and care based on their diagnosis.
Directing respiratory staff for delivery of care.
Monitoring and setting in place patient care plan with advanced monitoring techniques.
Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.

Carries a positive attitude throughout the workday.
Comes open to learning new tasks and growing their skills.
Shows critical thinking skills
Has a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Has a current Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
