We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

The IT/Ops team keeps everything behind the scenes running smoothly and we make sure all teams are equipped and connected - whether across the office or halfway around the world. AV struggles? Don’t worry, we’ve got this.

What You Will Do

As a Senior IT Manager, you’ll lead IT efforts for the Niantic organisation as it integrates into Scopely. This role is both strategic and hands-on, serving as Niantic's primary IT leader and advocate while acting as a critical bridge between Niantic IT and Scopely IT.

This role exists to provide focused leadership, visibility, and direction for Niantic’s IT needs while driving alignment toward Scopely’s standards, tooling, and operating model. You will partner closely with Scopely’s Integrations team and broader IT leadership to define strategy, execute integration initiatives, ensure service continuity during change, and operate at a senior level, able to zoom out for strategy while remaining deeply technical when needed.

  • Serve as the senior IT leader responsible for all Niantic IT operations within Scopely
  • Act as the primary bridge between Niantic and Scopely IT, ensuring alignment, transparency, and trust across organizations
  • Partner closely with the Integrations team to plan and execute technology, systems, and process integration
  • Develop and own the IT strategy for Niantic, balancing current-state support with future-state alignment to Scopely standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed IT team across multiple time zones (Tokyo, San Francisco, and Washington)
  • Provide clear visibility into Niantic IT risks, gaps, dependencies, and progress to Scopely IT leadership
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-impact technical issues
  • Assess existing Niantic technology, tools, and processes, and define a thoughtful roadmap for standardization
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality IT support for Niantic employees during and after integration
  • Improve and document support procedures, operational workflows, and integration playbooks
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and licensing relevant to Niantic IT
  • Reprioritize team efforts as business and integration needs evolve

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated success as an IT professional with a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in IT roles, including at least 4 years in a dedicated IT leadership position (e.g., Manager or Senior Manager)
  • Strong technical background with the ability to dive deep while maintaining a high-level strategic view
  • Experience with tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Jamf
  • Proven experience leading teams through change, transformation, or organizational integration
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams across regions and time zones
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills
  • Experience enforcing standards while thoughtfully managing transition states
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be effective with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Security, Integrations, and business leadership

Bonus Points

  • Experience supporting game development studios or creative/technical teams
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale IT integrations
  • Familiarity with hardware forecasting, budgeting, and procurement
  • Strong understanding of identity, device management, and SaaS ecosystems
  • Experience with tools JumpCloud, Ninja RMM, Zoom, GCP and related platforms
