About the Role

To provide equity research for Malaysia & Asia. To contribute to the outperformance of AIA Bhd’s equity portfolio relative to the benchmark.

Job Responsibilities:

• Covering sectors and stocks – local and regional.
• Monthly report writing on market and funds overview.
• Report writing on stocks and sectors.
• Engagement with relevant collaborators on special projects.
• Ensure adherence to investment parameters and limits.
• In the medium term, we do expect this role to include portfolio management.

Job Requirements:

• A recognized tertiary education in Finance / Accounting / Economics / Business or other related fields.
• A CFA charter holder or an advanced degree holder in Investment/Finance/Portfolio Management would be an added advantage.
• Must have a minimum 5 years of strong track record in research OR portfolio management of local and Asian equities.
• Highly compliant and meticulous in work.
• Understanding of local and regional capital markets and companies.
• Computer skills and is comfortable working with IT or technology-related systems.
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
• Commercially oriented
• Experience in managing regional equities will be an added advantage.
