ROLE PURPOSE

As a Project Support team member within the Transformation department, you will play a vital part in helping Cencora deliver meaningful change that supports our mission to create healthier futures. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and wider project teams, you will provide the organisational backbone that keeps our transformation initiatives on track — ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is curious, diligent, and eager to grow. You will be encouraged to bring your whole self to work, contribute ideas, and develop your capabilities through Cencora's Active Learning philosophy — learning, applying, and improving in equal measure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination & Administration

  • Support the Senior Project Manager in monitoring project milestones and deadlines, flagging concerns promptly — telling the truth and telling it fast.
  • Manage project documentation in line with agreed governance standards, ensuring files are version-controlled, accessible, and up to date.
  • Assist in the preparation of project presentations, reports, and dashboards for stakeholder audiences at all levels.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a reliable point of contact for project queries, maintaining a professional and collaborative approach that puts people first.
  • Support the co-ordination of working groups, workshops, and steering committees, helping to ensure inclusive and productive engagement.
  • Build positive working relationships across teams and departments, celebrating individuality whilst acting together towards shared goals.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to track deliverables, chase actions, and ensure commitments are honoured.

Financial & Resource Support

  • Support resource planning activities, helping to identify capacity constraints and flagging these to the Senior Project Manager in a timely manner.

Continuous Improvement & Active Learning

  • Embrace Cencora's Active Learning philosophy — actively seek out learning opportunities, apply new knowledge to your day-to-day work, and share insights that help the wider team grow.
  • Demonstrate the three key shifts of Active Learning: shifting from knowing to growing, from individual performance to collective success, and from reactive to proactive contribution.
  • Bring a genuine growth mindset to everything you do — be curious, ask questions, reflect on outcomes, and continuously seek to improve both yourself and the ways we work.
  • Contribute to post-project reviews and lessons-learned sessions, helping to embed a culture of ongoing improvement across the Transformation department.

Active Leading

  • Demonstrate Active Leading behaviours by empowering team members through knowledge sharing, timely communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Act as a proactive partner to customers — both internal and external — anticipating needs, removing barriers, and going beyond the expected to deliver value.
  • Support Cencora's future by contributing innovative ideas, championing better ways of working, and helping to build a culture where transformation is embraced rather than feared.
  • Work collaboratively with leaders and team members to turn strategy into action, ensuring that team efforts are aligned, empowered, and focused on outcomes that matter.

    .

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    Essential

    • Previous experience in a project support, project coordinator, or administrative role within a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise effectively under pressure.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
    • A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to change and improvement.
    • Demonstrated commitment to honesty, integrity, and transparency — aligned with our principle of telling the truth and telling it fast.

    Desirable

    •  Experience of working within a transformation, change management, or programme delivery environment.
    • An interest in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences sectors.
