Position Summary 

The Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization is going through an important evolution to enable more reliable and consistent delivery of medicines to patients faster.  This evolution includes elements that will help elevate its current operations to be best in class and differentiate them as a competitive advantage for the future. As part of the evolution GPS needs to become a Digital First organization. Digital First means leveraging the best of technology, data, analytics, business processes and people to achieve improved business outcomes.  

 

The successful candidate will be part of a team of UX designers and design thinking experts to enable innovation and improve the customer experience across all digital touchpoints. The Senior Designer will report to the Senior Director, User Experience as part of the Digital Transformation team. The successful candidate will help further the GPS UX and Service Design capabilities and partner closely with Functions and Operating Units, Business Insights and Analytics (BIA) and IT who build and deploy capabilities and technologies. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Successfully deliver intuitive and impactful digital experiences, bringing a user-centered approach to project teams. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user requirements, create wireframes and prototypes, and conduct user testing to validate design concepts. 

  • Support discovery activities such as workflow mapping exercises, ideation sessions, and other design thinking activities to identify and prioritize customer needs. 

  • Translate requirements and data into wireframes and prototypes that effectively convey your ideas and communicate solutions to project teams, stakeholders, and customers. 

  • Contribute to a growing design team by helping develop, maintain, and instill best practices and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all digital experiences. 

  • Apply user experience and design thinking best practices to guide project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. 

  • Stay up to date with emerging design trends and technologies, incorporating them into our design processes and methodologies. 

Requirements 

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and energy to actively contribute to transforming and disrupting organizations, with tenacity and perseverance for helping to drive change. 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on digital experiences. 

  • Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in UX design, design thinking, and user research. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 

  • Experience with design thinking workshops and applying design thinking methodologies to solve complex business problems is a plus. 

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or supply chain environment is a plus. 

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $113,000 - $143,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.
