We're seeking a forward-thinking tech leader to join us in continuing to build industry leading software solutions. Job Duties
- Drive exploration and adoption of leading edge software technologies in signal processing, high resolution visualization of 3D models, usability, Artificial Intelligence
- Be an internal technology promoter and take an active part in strategic decision-making
- Build and manage a high-performance software engineering team by developing, mentoring and coaching each engineer as appropriate. Inspire and motivate the team members to achieve individual and project goals for on-time product delivery with exceptional quality.
- Design and deliver cardiac mapping systems with best-in-class data visualization and usability.
- Drive development of software requirements, architecture and functionality - with an emphasis on modularity and portability to allow reuse. Manage and enhance software architecture and technology stack to meet future needs and scalability.
- Manage the research and prototyping of new and innovative solutions; manage feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
- Lead software development efforts with various external partners and subcontractors. Work with them to ensure that the work is getting done when it needs to be and with the quality and consistency we strive to deliver to our patients. Demonstrate strong and clear accountability for project success.
- Plan, execute and track projects and resources to meet goals.
- Ensure compliance with Abbott quality policies, procedures, and practices.
- Work effectively in cross-functional teams consisting of Clinical, Design & Usability, Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience.
- 15+ years of experience with at least 5 years as Director or above
- Experience with architectural designs, technology exploration, and innovation management
- Experience in documenting and defining strategic, multi-year roadmaps
- Experience in delivering performance-oriented applications
- Experienced in technical documentation of existing or new products
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum using JIRA, execution of projects of different sizes and complexities, and with multiple dependencies
- Knowledgeable with Change Management Processes, Secure Coding Methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to implement, operate, and deliver results via innovation at large scale
- Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in a healthcare related development environment, particularly where you have taken on a significant role in the design, development, or overhaul of a system
- Experience setting standards for the improvement of application, team scalability, code-reuse, maintainability, security, and testing
- Strong business writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to drill down to the key points in a complex problem and clearly articulate the next steps
- Experience managing onshore and offshore teams of application developers

The base pay for this position is
$147,300.00 – $294,700.00
