Department Overview:
As the sustainability landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace, the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) Central Office is responsible for the coordination and development of key capabilities shared across ESG Risk, Sustainability & Corporate Citizenship and other ESG partners. The ESG Central Office looks to minimize duplication of efforts and foster clarity regarding roles, responsibilities, and ownership of cross-functional/cross-jurisdictional work. It also maximizes work effort and resources by ensuring a coordinated approach to data, technology, consultancy activities, where appropriate.
Job Description:
Reporting to the VP, ESG Credit Risk & Central Office, the Senior Manager will be focused on the successful execution of TD's Climate Data Strategy, with a particular focus on ensuring the needs of ESG Risk Management (ESG Risk) are met.
Key Accountabilities include:
Ensure ESG Risk's requirements are being addressed within the Climate Data Solution, a cross-functional multi-year project to create a single source of truth on Rahona for climate-related reporting and analytics.
Work with various business, data, and technology partners to drive the Climate Data Solution forward, including ensuring alignment of technical requirements to business needs, objectives and roles are clear and timelines are reasonable.
Support the development of tactical interim data solutions where required by working closely with ESG Analytics, Insights, and AI and ESG Risk as well as other data teams (e.g., Credit Risk, Finance, etc.) to meet regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
Develop a robust understanding of the existing data available within Risk for use in sustainable initiatives, including its level of quality and completeness, to provide trusted advice within ESG Risk and to other sustainability partners.
Represent ESG Risk on the ESG Data Council to prioritize activities, both strategic and tactical.
Coordinate change management activities for ESG Risk as they relate to data, analytics and technology and ensure we are following End User Computing and Business Managed Technology Standards.
Support the VP, ESG Credit Risk & Central Office, as owner of the Climate Data Solution by providing meaningful insights and recommendations as to the projects structure and design effectiveness.
