Demand and Supply Management (DSM), serves the Nike planning function combining insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when they’ll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP), Assortment Planning, Allocation & Space Planning sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for Nike and our partners.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
With this, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Space Planner to support our Nike Value EMEA Marketplace Stores within the Demand and Supply management environment.
You’ll be responsible for optimizing the Nike Value retail space for our Nike consumers, through involvement in the end-to-end new store openings process, in addition to changes to our existing Nike Value Stores. We’re looking for a world class organizer, agile multitasker, with specialist technical expertise, and experience using REVIT architectural tool.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Working alongside; design, construction, gender, product, brand creative, business offense & field teams across EMEA, you will be responsible for driving optimal consumer space & business profitability through cross-functional alignment.
In this varied position, no day is the same. You will flex between working on multiple store layout and space projects that are at many different stages of execution, to providing productivity insights in support of business cases for new stores, in addition to conducting post opening reviews of trading stores. You will drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitability from category and store space.
You will also:
Be the focal point, key contact and gatekeeper of Space Planning across Nike Value Stores.
Participate and engage in a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance, supporting and fostering an open, empowered, and inclusive work environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives Nike enterprise results.
Proactively provide visual merchandising, buying, allocation, planning, store teams and wider European Headquarters teams data analysis and productivity insights and support, that can drive actions across the enterprise.
Take responsibility for maintaining a Space Planning system in REVIT and Space Planning process and tools that ensures accurate option counts/capacities/floor plans for all stores in the fleet. Ensuring accurate floor-plans and credible floorplan data is accessible, archived, coordinated, and updated for Nike Value Stores.
Be responsible for the space and category merchandising signoff of new/refitted/relocated Value stores and small works space projects like self-service kiosk rollout. You will closely collaborate with Store Design on layout pre and post design intent, and additionally partner with multiple cross functional experts focusing on growing our business in the most profitable way.
Take accountability for planning, organizing, and prioritizing many small to large projects, so strategic goals and objectives are met. You’ll be accountable for generating space and productivity insights as part of the new Nike Next % strategy, with our partners across DSM.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You'll work with our Space Planning Manager and other key partners to communicate clear, brand-enhancing spaces that meet all business requirements. You’ll manage change across all levels of the Nike Matrix, up to VP level, by aligning people and processes. Where there are competing interests, you’ll effectively scenario, negotiate and drive agreements and alignment that benefit the Nike business.
WHAT YOU BRING
Significant experience of Retail Space/Design/Planning experience within an international retail environment.
Proficiency in REVIT with a comprehensive understanding of floor plans is preferred. Understanding of AutoCAD/Autodesk is also preferred.
Demonstrable experience of working with Retail KPIs with a comprehensive understanding of Excel is preferred
Excellent verbal and engaging written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations.
Ability to think strategically, and to connect high level corporate strategy to actionable objectives in a formative roadmap or agile project tracker.
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions, as well as establish relationships easily across the business at all levels.
A self-starter with a problem solving and solutions driven mentality.
Strong numerical skills, ability to deep dive into the detail, whilst working in a fast-paced Retail focused environment.
