AutoStore Cube Success Department
The Cube Success department is responsible for thoroughly testing hardware and software components, sub-systems, and the complete AutoStore system. This includes firmware, software, mechanical elements, electrical and radio components, and integrations ensuring customers receive high‑quality, reliable, and fully functional products.
Role Overview
As a Software Test Engineer at AutoStore, you will be part of our cross‑functional engineering teams, continuously testing and validating our software systems. You will take ownership of software quality from early development through release, playing a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards before reaching the market. To succeed in this role, you should be curious, eager to understand how AutoStore works end‑to‑end, and enjoy hands‑on system testing. You will work in a development environment, splitting your time between desk-based tasks, our test centers, and occasional visits to customer sites.
Work Tasks
Focus on software testing and contributing to continuous product improvements
Prepare formal test specifications
Execute and automate tests
Participate in troubleshooting throughout the development process
Analyze operational performance (e.g., uptime, recovery)
Conduct big data analysis and deep-dive investigations
Contribute to the execution of our Red Site program (travel should be expected)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, programming, informatics, engineering, or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of software testing and programming
Experience with Qt, C#, QML, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies is an advantage
Preferably experienced with Jira, Confluence, Git, and agile development methodologies
Experience with Power BI and Excel
ISTQB certification is a plus
Demonstrates a growth mindset, actively seeking learning opportunities and embracing feedback
