Position Summary
GEICO is searching for a highly motivated leader to join our Treasury team! The Manager of Financial Services is a key leadership position responsible for owning daily treasury operations, leading supervisors and floor associates, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to add immediate value and impact to a fast-changing company and help evolve the Treasury function.
This role is responsible for driving process improvements by reducing manual effort and leveraging system capabilities; while ensuring accuracy, strong internal controls, and efficient, well-staffed operations. This includes partnering on changes to billing systems, working with Service / Operations teams to develop financially sound policies that impact policyholder retention, and driving automation projects.
The ideal candidate has prior leadership experience, can quickly grasp systems and technical concepts, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment in a role with high visibility and accountability. Additionally, this candidate is excited about an opportunity to revamp and improve existing processes, identify, and execute on new solutions, is self-driven and able to prioritize multiple concurrent, complex tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead end-to-end treasury operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Partner with various departments (Sales, Service, Finance, Compliance, Technology, Product) to support shared processes and lead system enhancements, including requirements definition and implementation oversight.
Continuously assess workload, productivity, and staffing levels to ensure the team operates efficiently and remains aligned with business objectives.
Provide leadership to supervisors and floor associates, ensuring effective performance management, coaching, and accountability for results.
Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, risks, and gaps within existing processes.
Lead initiatives for process improvement and automation to minimize manual tasks and enhance accuracy amid evolving workloads
Ensure that inventory controls, reporting, and reconciliations are performed accurately and promptly, in alignment with audit and compliance standards.
Provide internal stakeholders with prompt, accurate financial and operational reporting.
Required Qualifications
Previous formal leadership experience, including direct supervision of associates and/or supervisors. Candidates should demonstrate successful performance management, effective coaching abilities, and a proven track record of delivering results.
Comprehensive knowledge of insurance billing and payment operations, business rules, internal controls, and compliance standards.
Demonstrated capability to identify operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Ability to quickly learn systems and apply knowledge to day-to-day operational decisions
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate expectations clearly and effectively
Highly organized and dependable, and successful at managing multiple priorities in a changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading teams in treasury, financial services, or other operational areas with strong control and compliance requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or currently enrolled and actively pursuing
Experience working with Tech, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and other Operational teams to implement system or process changes
Experience leading process improvements, automation, or workflow changes
Experience using data and metrics to assess productivity, workload, and operational performance
